"I had the pleasure of attending many of Aruna's creative workshops and art lessons in my time spent with her in Kenya.
Aruna has a natural way of presenting a creative subject to the group and taking them through the process step by step. My creativity had laid dormant in me for sometime; having the opportunity to explore this part of myself enlivened me and I realised just how much I both loved and missed being able to express this side of myself. We explored many subjects from drawing with pastels, to acrylic painting, making juggling balls, macrame hanging decorations and toning with our voice. Aruna encourages each individual within the group to tune inwards to their own expression of creativity within the subject she is presenting. I was shocked at times with what came out of me and what I was capable of. Aruna's artistic expertise gave me guidance when I felt stuck and her encouragement is unwavering.
